ADVOCACY FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES
“The way we experience illness and disability is an index of the love we are ready to offer.” ~ Pope Francis June 2016 Mass for people with disabilities
Advocacy for Persons with a Disability is a very important parish ministry at Sacred Heart Church. We strive to make everyone feel welcome and comfortable in our parish. We will do our best to support all parishioners, so that they may fully and actively participate in our masses and parish events/programs.
Please contact the parish Disability Advocate, Sharon Bond 450-7748, or our pastor if you have questions or concerns.
“The world doesn’t become better for the apparently “perfect” people living in it, but through solidarity, mutual acceptance and respect. Everyone has the same ability to grow and understand Christian doctrine, even if the learning processes are different.” ~ Pope Francis June 2016 Mass for people with disabilities.
Outreach to parishioners who are homebound or in nursing homes through visits, calls, notes and cards.
