Coffee Donuts and Conversation
After each of the first Sunday Masses of the month (except June, July, August and January), parishioners are invited to go to the auditorium for coffee, tea, juice, and donuts from a local donut shop. They can sit and catch up with people they haven’t seen in a while. Everyone is also encouraged to use this opportunity to introduce themselves to people they may see at mass, but haven’t had the pleasure of getting to know.
Every April Knights of Columbus host an evening of fun, games and friendship for parishioners and their friends over 21 years of age. A $10 donation entitles participants to food and refreshments, hourly door prizes (You can win more than once!) and a grand prize at the end of the evening.
Family Mass and Picnic
One Sunday in August is set aside to celebrate the Sacred Heart parish family! (But guests are welcomed too.) The day begins with an outdoor liturgy. A special cloth made up of blocks that were designed and created by parish families covers the altar. Mass is followed by a picnic lunch. The Knights provide hot dogs and soft drinks. Parishioners bring the side dishes. Family activities are ongoing throughout the day with plenty of time to visit with old friends and make new ones!
The Sacred Heart Wintertime Ball is our annual January “FUN” raiser for adults to spend an evening together enjoying great food, fun, music, dancing and prizes with fellow parishioners and guests.
Light Up for Christ
Hosted by the Knights of Columbus, the theme of this event is “Christ is the Reason for the Season”. It is open to Sacred Heart parishioners and their family and friends. The evening begins with an outdoor ceremony of prayer, song and the lighting of the outdoor tree and Nativity scene. Everyone is then invited into the auditorium for hot chili, nachos and cheese and dessert. Adults are eligible for door prizes, and there are treats and prizes for the children as well.
