The season of giving is over, but the need remains. 1 out of 6 persons in Erie County struggles with hunger.
Once again, it is time for us, as Pope Francis has stated in the Joy of the Gospel, to stand among the people of God as servants.
. We are responsible for the entire meal. We are soliciting:
- Lasagna—It can be your own or as many have chosen in the past, you can buy a pan of Stouffer’s or another brand.
- Brownies or some other type of favorite bar for the dessert. Pies and cupcakes do not easily transport.
We still have some prior monetary contributions left over from previous meals that will be used to purchase a vegetable and a salad.
We need at least 15 parishioners to make lasagna. We need at least 15 parishioners to make desserts. There are a couple of parishioners from SH who have volunteered to prepare the meal in the kitchen. St. Paul’s already has volunteers to serve the meal. So help wise, we are doing fine.
Sign-up for the lasagna and the desserts will follow the masses on the 20th and 21st in the back of the church. Instructions for the lasagna and dessert drop-off at the SH auditorium on the 28th will be provided at that time. Please help feed those in our community who need our help. Thank you to all who help with this ministry. Tom Hudson 864-1615
